... while understanding art as a special form for communication between people, a piece of creative work turns in my eyes into piece of art in the moment it has been appreciated by somebody else than just by the author himself.

What is art?
Searching for satisfactory answer, I found many contrasting definitions and opinions. Art definition that is in many aspects closest to my understanding was formulated in 1896 by Leo Tolstoy in his essay "What is art?".
